Let me start by saying this camera is a mixed bag. The Pro Xtreme looks promising on paper with its 4K capabilities and waterproof design, but real-world performance tells a different story.
The good first: The build quality surprised me. It feels sturdy in hand, and the waterproof feature works as advertised - I took it snorkeling in Maui last month and came back with some decent underwater shots. The wide-angle lens captures expansive views, perfect for landscape shots.
Where it struggles? Video performance. Despite claiming 4K/30fps, my footage looked more like 1080p at best when I mounted it on my mountain bike. There's noticeable choppiness during fast movements - definitely not GoPro-level stabilization here. Picture quality is acceptable for casual use though.
The included accessories are decent for the price point. I particularly like the variety of mounts - they held securely during my kayaking trip. Battery life is average (about 90 minutes of continuous recording), but you can plug in a power bank for longer sessions.
Biggest headache? The app situation. The official GOPLUS CAMPRO app is practically useless - I wasted hours before discovering the third-party GOPLUS CAM app that actually works (shoutout to that reviewer who mentioned this!). Once set up properly, remote control via smartphone becomes functional.
Bottom line: If you need professional-grade action footage, look elsewhere. But as an affordable entry-level camera for casual adventurers who mostly care about still photos and occasional videos, it's not terrible - just temper your expectations regarding its '4K' claims.
