I recently installed the 90 Degree Door Latch Lock on my pantry door, and here's my honest take after a few weeks of use.
The Good: This latch is super easy to install - even for non-handy folks like me. The included screws fit perfectly into my wooden door, and the rotary switch mechanism feels satisfyingly clicky when locked. I love that it's keyless, making it perfect for quick privacy needs in bathrooms or bedrooms.
The Not-So-Good: While it looks sturdy, the locking mechanism has a shorter throw than expected. On my standard closet doors, there's still slight movement even when locked - enough that determined teenagers (or hungry pets) can still nudge it open if they really try. Also dropped one during installation (my fault!) and the plastic parts did break easily.
Best Uses: Works great as a 'gentle reminder' lock for interior doors where you just need basic privacy rather than serious security. Perfect for keeping toddlers out of rooms or as an extra latch on sliding barn doors. Wouldn't recommend for high-security needs or exterior doors though.
Final Verdict: At this price point, it's decent for what it is - a simple interior latch that gets the basic job done with minimal fuss. Just don't expect bank-vault security from this little guy!
