Let me start by saying the TCL QM85 is a beast of a TV. The 75-inch screen dominates my living room, and the picture quality? Absolutely stunning. The QD-Mini LED technology delivers deep blacks and vibrant colors that make every scene pop. Watching sunsets in nature documentaries feels almost real - the brightness is that impressive.
The setup was a breeze. Google TV interface is snappy and intuitive - no lag whatsoever when scrolling through menus or apps. I particularly love how easy it is to customize picture settings. Movie mode with warm color temperature and slight motion adjustment creates the most natural viewing experience for my taste.
Sound quality surprised me positively. The built-in 5.1.2 channel system delivers room-filling audio that's more than adequate for most viewers. Dialogue comes through crisp and clear when set to 'voice' mode. Only audiophiles with massive rooms might need an additional soundbar.
Now for the not-so-perfect parts: Off-angle viewing isn't this TV's strong suit - colors do wash out if you're not sitting directly in front. Also, while blooming is minimal, it's noticeable in extreme contrast scenes with bright objects against pure black backgrounds.
After two months of daily use, I can confidently say this TV offers incredible value for money. It combines premium features at a price point that undercuts competitors significantly. Unless you're extremely sensitive to off-angle viewing or demand absolute perfection in black levels, the QM85 delivers an outstanding home theater experience.
