Let me start by saying this printer is a BEAST when it comes to speed. Hitting 600mm/s? My old printer might as well be a tortoise in comparison. The first time I watched it zip through a multicolor Benchy in under 12 minutes, I actually laughed out loud at how absurdly fast it was.
The ACE Pro system is where things get really interesting. Being able to switch between 4 colors mid-print feels like magic - though I'll admit the filament changes do leave some noticeable blobs. The co-created color palettes are gorgeous, especially the vibrant reds and blues that make my D&D miniatures pop.
Now for the not-so-great: That side-mounted spool holder? Absolute nightmare. I've had more filament tangles in two weeks than in two years with my top-mounted Ender 3. And don't get me started on the touchscreen issues - mine started ghost-touching after a month until Anycubic sent a replacement (shoutout to their responsive support team).
The smart drying feature is brilliant for my humid basement workshop, keeping my PETG bone-dry. But the closed ecosystem frustrates me - why can't I use OrcaSlicer over WiFi? The Anycubic slicer feels like training wheels after using PrusaSlicer.
For beginners: This will feel overwhelming at first, but stick with it. The auto-leveling works beautifully, and once dialed in, the print quality rivals machines twice its price. Just expect to spend time learning its quirks - this isn't quite the 'plug and play' experience advertised.
Final verdict? If you need speed and color versatility and don't mind some tinkering, the Kobra 3 Combo delivers incredible value. But if you want absolute reliability, you might want to wait for version 4's inevitable fixes.
