Let me start by saying this watch is packed with features that sound amazing on paper. The GPS tracking works surprisingly well - I tested it at the park and could pinpoint my kid's location within a few meters. The 4G connectivity means faster positioning updates compared to older models I've tried.
The video calling feature is where this watch really shines. My daughter loves making 'wrist calls' to show me her drawings or what she's eating for lunch. The camera quality isn't smartphone-level, but it's decent enough for quick check-ins.
However, there's a big BUT here. Like one reviewer mentioned, you're forced to get a separate SIM card (Speedtalk or similar). This means ongoing costs beyond the initial purchase - about $10-15/month in my area. That adds up quickly!
The IP67 waterproofing works as advertised - survived juice spills and rain showers. Battery life lasts about a day with moderate use, but drains fast if you're constantly using GPS tracking.
Setup was frustrating at first. You MUST turn off the watch before inserting SIM (learned this the hard way). The companion app could be more intuitive too.
Bottom line: Great tech if you need constant connectivity with your child and don't mind the extra phone line expense. But for casual use, might be overkill.
