Let me start by saying this APPBYER Fitness Tracker has been my workout buddy for the past month, and overall, I'm pretty impressed. The 1.10-inch AMOLED screen is crisp and bright - I can actually read it in direct sunlight during my morning runs. The touch responsiveness is smooth too, unlike some cheaper trackers I've tried.
Where this watch really shines is battery life. I easily get 10-12 days between charges with continuous heart rate monitoring enabled. That's way better than my old Fitbit that needed juice every 4 days. The magnetic charging is convenient, though the connector feels a bit flimsy - be gentle with it.
The health tracking features are comprehensive. I particularly like the blood oxygen monitoring (great for checking how altitude affects me during hikes) and the sleep analysis. However, like one reviewer mentioned, the auto-sleep detection isn't perfect - it sometimes counts my late-night reading as 'light sleep'. A manual adjustment option would be great.
The waterproofing works as advertised - survived multiple pool sessions and showers without issues. Though I'd avoid chlorinated pools frequently as others noted. The band itself is comfortable for all-day wear, but if you have smaller wrists like me, you might find the face slightly bulky at first.
Now about the app: While 'Keep Health' does its job syncing data, I did encounter those pesky premium subscription prompts too. They're annoying but don't actually block core functionality in my experience. For basic tracking and viewing trends, the free version suffices.
Bottom line? For under $50 (current price), this delivers excellent value if you want solid fitness tracking without smartwatch distractions. Just temper expectations around sleep tracking accuracy and app experience.
