Let me start by saying this thumb-sized camera blew my expectations out of the water! The Xilecam Mini is like that quiet kid in class who secretly aces every test - unassuming but incredibly capable.
The magnetic mount is GENIUS. I've stuck it to my bike frame, fridge (for those hilarious pet videos), and even my toddler's toy car for some epic POV footage. The shirt clip holds surprisingly well during jogs too.
Video quality is decent - not iPhone 15 Pro level, but way better than you'd expect from something this small. The 1080P footage looks crisp in daylight, though low-light performance could be better (but hey, it's $50!).
Battery life? Absolute champ! Lasted through my entire 2.5-hour hike with juice to spare. The included 32GB card stores about 4 hours of footage - perfect for day trips.
Setup took literally 30 seconds: pop in the card, charge via USB-C (thank god no proprietary cables!), and you're rolling. The three-button control keeps things stupid simple - no confusing menus here.
Now the downsides: No vertical video mode (bummer for TikTokers) and the tiny screen makes framing shots tricky. Also wish it had waterproofing without needing a case.
For $50? This might be the best value action cam I've ever used. It won't replace your GoPro for extreme sports, but for casual adventurers who hate bulky gear, this little guy is PERFECT.
