Let me start by saying this router is a beast when it comes to raw performance. The moment I unboxed it, the sleek design and solid build quality gave me confidence. Setting it up was straightforward - just pop in a SIM card (I used T-Mobile) and power it on. The initial connection was instant, which was impressive.
The speeds? Absolutely mind-blowing. On 5G, I consistently got between 300-400Mbps download speeds in my urban area. WiFi 6 performance is where this router truly shines - my devices connected faster than ever, and the range coverage eliminated dead zones in my two-story house.
Now for the not-so-great parts. Like other reviewers mentioned, you'll need some technical know-how to optimize settings for different carriers. I spent a good hour tweaking APN and TTL settings (set mine to 65) to get optimal Verizon performance. The band locking feature became my best friend after realizing auto-selection wasn't ideal for my location.
The built-in antennas provide decent coverage, but don't expect miracles if you're in a rural area with weak signal to begin with. I did appreciate how cool the router stayed even during prolonged 4K streaming sessions - that fan-based cooling system works wonders.
At $500, this is definitely an investment. While cheaper alternatives exist, none offered me this combination of WiFi 6 support, carrier flexibility (works with all major US providers), and future-proofing with both SA/NSA 5G support. Just be prepared for some configuration work - this isn't quite plug-and-play perfection.
