Let me start by saying this POE Access Point is a sleek little flying saucer for your ceiling! At just 22.3mm thick, it practically disappears when installed - perfect for maintaining clean aesthetics in offices or homes.
The WiFi 6 performance is impressive with dual-band speeds up to 574Mbps (2.4GHz) and 2400Mbps (5GHz). In my testing, it consistently delivered fast speeds that matched my wired connection when in close range. The five high-gain antennas provide decent coverage, though heavy walls do reduce signal strength noticeably.
Installation has its quirks. While the physical mounting is straightforward (especially if you've worked with Ubiquiti APs before), the initial setup can be frustrating. The documentation is minimal at best - I had to rely on my networking knowledge to configure it properly. Definitely not a plug-and-play device for beginners!
The POE power option is convenient if you have the infrastructure (I used a POE injector), but home users should note there's no included power adapter. The thin design does mean excellent heat dissipation - even after hours of heavy use, it stays cool to the touch.
Where this AP really shines is in small business environments or tech-savvy homes where you need reliable coverage without breaking the bank. It handled about 30 connected devices in my stress test without breaking a sweat, thanks to MU-MIMO and OFDMA support.
One major limitation: it doesn't play well with mesh systems from other brands. If you're looking to build a multi-AP system, you'll need to stick with identical models from this brand for seamless roaming.
Bottom line: A solid performer for the price with some enterprise-level features, but be prepared for a technical setup process and potential additional purchases (like POE injectors). Perfect for small offices or tech enthusiasts who don't mind getting their hands dirty with configuration.
