Let's talk about the Powermax Size 312 hearing aid batteries. First off, the battery life is impressive. I've been using them for a couple of weeks now, wearing my hearing aids about 14 hours a day, and they consistently last around a week. That's a win in my book, especially compared to some other brands that conk out after just a few days.
The performance is solid too. No weird sound fluctuations or sudden drops in power – just steady, reliable performance from start to finish. The zinc-air technology seems to do its job well, delivering clear sound throughout the battery's lifespan.
Now for the elephant in the room: the packaging. Oh boy. These come in child-resistant packaging thanks to Reese's Law, and while I totally get the safety reasons, it's ridiculously hard to open. I'm not even kidding when I say I had to grab scissors just to get at my batteries. Not exactly convenient when you're out and about and need a quick battery change.
Here's what I ended up doing: I spent a good 20 minutes one evening carefully cutting out all 60 batteries (yes, all of them) and transferring them to an old pill bottle with a childproof cap. Not ideal, but at least now I can actually access them when needed.
Price-wise, these are pretty decent for what you get – especially buying in bulk with the 60-count pack. Just be prepared for that packaging frustration unless you're planning to pre-open them all like I did.
Bottom line? Great batteries that last long and perform well, but seriously reconsider your packaging approach, Powermax! Until then, keep those scissors handy if you decide to give these a try.
