Let me start by saying the OXS Storm G2 looks and feels premium right out of the box. The sleek black design with RGB lighting gives it that proper gamer aesthetic, and the protein leather ear cups feel soft against your skin. I've worn these for 4-hour gaming sessions without discomfort - the memory foam padding really does its job.
The sound quality is where this headset truly shines. That 50mm driver delivers punchy bass that makes explosions in Call of Duty feel visceral, while the 7.1 virtual surround helps pinpoint enemy footsteps in competitive games. I particularly love switching between the three EQ modes - music mode makes my Spotify playlists sound fantastic.
Connectivity options are plentiful with Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4GHz wireless, and wired options. The wireless dongle's low latency is perfect for gaming - I noticed zero audio lag during intense Overwatch matches. The detachable mic is a nice touch too, making these suitable for both gaming and casual use.
Now for the downsides: The inability to use while charging is baffling for a $70+ gaming headset. During marathon sessions, you'll inevitably run out of battery and be forced to stop playing or switch to wired mode (defeating the purpose of wireless). Also, some users might find the ear cups slightly shallow - my ears touch the drivers after prolonged use.
The microphone quality is decent but not exceptional. Teammates could hear me clearly, but background noise reduction wasn't as effective as more expensive headsets. For casual gaming though, it gets the job done.
Overall, this is a solid mid-range option with impressive features for its price point, though some design choices hold it back from being truly great. If you can live with its limitations (especially that charging issue), it delivers excellent audio performance across multiple platforms.
