Let me start by saying the Blackview Shark 9 is a beast when it comes to performance. That octa-core processor combined with what they call '24GB RAM' (though let's be real - only 8GB is physical) handles everything from heavy gaming to multitasking like a champ. I've had PUBG running while streaming music and switching between social apps without a single stutter.
The display is where this phone really shines. That 6.67-inch screen with its 90Hz refresh rate makes scrolling through feeds buttery smooth. Watching movies? Absolutely gorgeous. Though I will say the resolution could be sharper at this size - you can occasionally see some pixelation if you look closely.
Now about that camera setup... The 50MP main shooter takes surprisingly good photos in daylight. Colors pop, details are crisp - I've gotten some Instagram-worthy shots without any editing. But low light performance? Meh. The night mode helps, but don't expect Pixel-level magic here.
Battery life has been stellar in my testing. That 5000mAh cell easily gets me through a day and half of moderate use. The 18W charging isn't the fastest out there though - takes about 2 hours for a full charge from empty.
A few quirks worth mentioning: The virtual RAM expansion feels more like marketing than actual performance boost, and while Android 14 is nice, the Doke OS skin can feel cluttered at times. Also, no wireless charging at this price point is disappointing.
Would I recommend it? If you need raw power and expandable storage (that SD card slot is golden), absolutely. But camera enthusiasts or those wanting premium build quality might want to look elsewhere.
