Here's the dealbreaker I discovered the hard way: DO NOT PUT THIS IN THE DISHWASHER. Like one reviewer mentioned, mine came out looking like it had some sort of metallic skin condition. The finish turned dull and powdery, leaving gray residue on everything. Hand-washing only is a pain, but necessary.

Final verdict? If you don't mind hand-washing your tools, this is a fantastic multi-purpose scoop that'll last years. Just...maybe buy two - one for sweet treats and one for savory/pet food to avoid flavor transfer!
