Let me start by saying these POWERTEC push sticks and featherboard have become my shop's unsung heroes. At first glance, they seem simple - just red L-shaped plastic sticks and an adjustable featherboard. But after months of use on my DeWalt jobsite saw, I can't imagine working without them.
The push sticks surprised me with their perfect balance - not too thick, not too thin. The ergonomic handle fits my grip naturally when guiding narrow stock through the blade. Unlike homemade versions, these don't slip when pushing damp wood. I particularly love using them for final passes on small pieces where fingers have no business being near the blade.
Now the featherboard - what a game changer! Yes, assembly was confusing (why no instructions?!), but once I figured out the right bolt configuration for my saw's miter slots, it locks down rock-solid. The vertical adjustment is brilliant for keeping different thicknesses of stock firmly against the fence. It's saved multiple projects from dangerous kickbacks.
My only gripe? The push sticks could be slightly larger for big-handed users like myself when working with wider boards. But for detail work and smaller pieces, they're perfect. I've already bought a second set to keep at my router table station.
After seeing how these tools have protected both my projects and fingers over dozens of cuts, they've earned permanent spots in my workflow. Worth every penny for anyone serious about safe woodworking.
