I've been using the CRAFTSMAN V20* Angle Grinder for several projects, and it's proven to be a reliable tool for light to medium-duty work. The 8,500 RPM motor delivers decent power, especially when paired with a larger 4.0 Ah battery—smaller batteries just don’t cut it (literally).
The cast metal gear housing does an excellent job dissipating heat during extended use, which is great when you're tackling longer cutting sessions. The contoured over-molded handle adds comfort, reducing fatigue during prolonged use.
One standout feature is the tool-free guard adjustment—super convenient when switching between tasks. The 3-position handle also offers better control, making it easier to maneuver in tight spaces.
However, there are a few downsides. The grinder is on the heavier side, which might be tiring for some users. Also, the thread-lock button can be finicky—it takes some getting used to before it cooperates smoothly.
For the price (around $40), this grinder is a solid value if you’re not looking for brushless performance or daily heavy-duty use. It’s perfect for DIYers or occasional metal-cutting tasks but might struggle with more demanding jobs.
