Okay, so I've been using these teabag papers for about a month now and WOW - they're way more versatile than I expected!
The texture is what got me first. One side smooth like tracing paper, the other slightly rough like handmade stationery. When I crumple it for texture? Chef's kiss! It holds folds and wrinkles so well for my collage work.
Watercolor behaves differently on each side too - the smooth side gives these beautiful bleeding effects while the textured side creates more organic, uneven spreads. And when it dries? Doesn't warp nearly as much as my usual papers.
50 sheets might sound like a lot but trust me, you'll fly through them. The large size means I can cut custom pieces for different projects - some small tags for cyanotype, bigger sheets for acrylic pours.
Only thing to watch: it's thinner than regular watercolor paper (duh, it's teabag paper!) so heavy washes need careful handling. But that transparency is exactly why it layers so beautifully in mixed media pieces.
Shipping was impressive - came rolled in kraft paper without a single crease. At this price point? Absolute steal compared to 'fancy' art store papers that do the same thing.
PS: If you're into gelli printing like half these reviewers? Apparently this stuff is magic for that too (adding to my to-try list!)
