Let me start by saying these Quay sunglasses are undeniably stylish. The oversized aviator design is a head-turner, and the black fade lenses give off major celebrity vibes. I’ve worn them on beach trips, city strolls, and even to brunch – they elevate every outfit effortlessly.
The UV protection is legit. I wore them during a full day in direct sunlight, and my eyes felt zero strain. The lenses darken perfectly outside but fade enough to check your phone without removing them (a small but genius feature).
Fit-wise, they’re surprisingly versatile. I have a smaller face but love the drama of oversized frames – these don’t slide off or feel bulky. The double bars are a clever touch that actually does hide forehead wrinkles (bonus!).
Now for the not-so-great: The adjustable nose pads are more annoying than helpful. They constantly snag my hair when I take the sunglasses off. A fixed pad design would’ve been better. Also, that stubborn sticker residue? Rookie mistake from Quay – had to use rubbing alcohol to fully remove it.
While the quality feels solid (lightweight yet durable), I can’t ignore that $20 sunglasses from other brands feel similar in hand. The clear plastic case screams ‘cheap’ – a fabric pouch would’ve matched the premium vibe better.
Final verdict? If you catch these on sale or value unique style over absolute premium quality, go for it. But if you’re budget-conscious, you might find comparable options for less.
