Just got this Saillong replacement remote as a backup for my Midea mini-split system, and wow - it's literally plug-and-play perfection!

The orange backlight is super handy for nighttime adjustments (why don't all remotes have this?). Came with batteries included which was a nice surprise, though mine arrived set to Celsius. Quick tip: hold TEMP button for 3 seconds to switch to Fahrenheit - they really should include this instruction in the package.

Build quality feels solid - the ABS plastic has a nice grip and all buttons respond perfectly. Works flawlessly with my unit (which I now know is part of the Midea family). Only missing two obscure buttons from my original remote that I've never used anyway.

Seriously, if you rely on your AC remote (and who doesn't?), spending $15 on this backup is smarter than waiting until you lose or break your original. Mine worked immediately without any setup - just point and click. Peace of mind achieved!
