Let me start by saying I approached these compression shirts with cautious optimism. As someone who's lost a significant amount of weight (congrats to the reviewer who dropped 170lbs - amazing!), I know firsthand the struggle with excess skin and wanting that extra support.
The first time I wrestled into one of these shirts, I immediately understood the 'tiny black dress' comparison. It's a full-body workout just getting it on! Pro tip: definitely go feet-first like others suggested - attempting to pull it over your head is an express ticket to frustration city.
Once on, the compression is intense but not uncomfortable. I wore mine during workouts and noticed two things immediately: 1) my posture improved without conscious effort, and 2) there was definite tummy control happening. The material feels substantial - not cheap or flimsy - though after several washes I did notice some minor pilling.
Now for the big caveat: sizing is absolutely whack. Ignore their chart completely. If you're normally an XL in regular shirts, you'll need at least 2XL here, maybe 3XL. Several reviewers weren't kidding about needing the 'jaws of life' - these run incredibly small.
Would I recommend them? With reservations. If you get the sizing right (order way up), they do provide decent shaping and back support. But if you're expecting magic belly-erasing powers, temper those expectations. They're good under-layer shirts that provide moderate compression - nothing more revolutionary than that.
