I've been using the Gaoye Blue Light Glasses for a few weeks now, and here's my honest take. First off, the style is a win—these frames are cute and don’t scream 'computer glasses.' I wear them to work and even out for coffee without feeling like I’m sporting lab gear. The transparent and gradient color options (especially the surprise blue-purple iridescent pair!) add a fun touch.
Comfort is another high point. The TR90 frames are featherlight, and I forgot I was wearing them during marathon Zoom meetings. That said, after 6+ hours, I noticed slight nose pad imprints—not painful, but noticeable. If you’re sensitive to pressure, keep this in mind.
Now, the blue light blocking... it’s iffy. Compared to my pricier pair, these barely tint my screen yellow (a telltale sign of filtration). The included blue light tester card showed minimal difference, so don’t expect miracles for eye strain relief. But hey, at $8 for three pairs, they’re more of a stylish placebo with decent glare reduction.
Durability surprised me—the frames survived being tossed in my bag unscathed. But the lenses? One light scrub with the included cloth left a tiny scratch. Pro tip: Use a microfiber cloth instead.
The extras were a nice touch—the UV tester was fun to play with (even if it highlighted the weak filtration), and having three pairs means I can stash them everywhere: desk, purse, bedside table.
Verdict? For the price, these are a solid 'meh' for blue light protection but a total steal as fashion-forward screen-time accessories. Just manage expectations—and maybe pair them with eyedrops for heavy usage days.
