Okay, so I got this book for my theater design course and wow - it's been a rollercoaster! When online classes hit, this literally saved my semester. The way it's structured worked perfectly for both in-person and Zoom learning.
BUT (and this is a big but) the Kindle version? Absolute trash. The images either look like pixelated Minecraft blocks or tiny postage stamps. How am I supposed to learn CAD from blurry thumbnails?
The first few chapters are golden - super detailed walkthroughs that make great reference material. Then around Chapter 7 it's like the author got tired? Instructions get weirdly vague and there are SO many typos in the exercise numbers.
PSA: If you're downloading the practice files from the publisher's site... good luck. The layer organization makes zero sense and half the textures don't load right. Spent more time troubleshooting than learning.
Final verdict? Useful but flawed. Would I recommend? Maybe as a last resort if your professor requires it. Just... maybe get the physical copy instead.
