Okay, so I got this Junejour sandwich press mostly to stop my 6-year-old from whining about crusts (seriously, the drama!). But wow—it’s become our little kitchen sidekick!
The green square version is cute and sturdy. My kid loves ‘playing chef’ with it, and I love that it’s not some flimsy toy. The stainless steel cuts cleanly (no Hulk strength needed), and the plastic handle keeps tiny fingers safe. Plus, it fits in my junk drawer—miracle!
We’ve gone wild with fillings: PB&J (classic), Nutella-banana (messy but worth it), even ham-cheese roll-ups. It seals edges like a champ, though thicker bread works better—giant loaf = no sad half-sandwiches.
Bonus? My kid now packs HIS OWN LUNCH. Independence level: mini-adult. Also used it for heart-shaped hand pies at a birthday party—total crowd-pleaser.
Downside? Requires a firm press (toddlers might need help), and crumbs get stuck in the grooves. But for $10? Worth every crumbly, crustless bite.
