Let me start by saying this kit is a game-changer for RV winterizing. The brass construction feels solid in your hands – no flimsy plastic here. I've used it three times now, and it hasn't shown any wear.
The double shut-off design is brilliant. Last winter, I could easily switch between the antifreeze and water lines without that messy backflow issue I used to get with single-valve systems. The 59-inch hose reaches perfectly in my 32-foot Class C.
Now for the not-so-great part: that hose. Like others mentioned, mine arrived looking like a pretzel. I had to soak it in hot water for an hour to get most kinks out – still has one stubborn bend that affects flow slightly.
The included clamps work fine, but do yourself a favor – use the Teflon tape religiously. My first attempt leaked because I got lazy with it. Second try? Perfect seal.
Installation took me about 20 minutes (with coffee breaks). No cutting required on my Jayco, just screw into the existing pump connections. Much easier than last year's bucket-and-siphon method that left pink stains everywhere.
Final verdict? Worth every penny despite the hose issue. Just budget an extra $10 for replacement tubing if yours arrives too kinked. Winterizing now takes me 15 minutes instead of an hour of swearing at pipes.
