First impression? The Milano/New York logo gives it that trendy urban vibe I was looking for. The fit is definitely slim – like, hug-your-arms-tight slim. If you're between sizes or prefer breathing room, size up immediately.
The fabric surprised me – not in a good way. For Armani Exchange, I expected that luxurious cotton feel, but this is thin and almost athletic-jersey-like. Wore it to a rooftop BBQ and got compliments on the design... until someone touched it and went 'Oh. Huh.' Not the premium handfeel you'd expect at this price.
That said, the 4-button placket lays flat nicely (no gaping!), and after three washes, the colors haven't faded. It's become my 'I need to look put-together but might spill margaritas' shirt – lightweight for summer but definitely not heirloom quality.
Final verdict? It's an okay polo with great branding that fools the eye from 5 feet away. Would I repurchase? Probably not unless they upgrade the fabric. For now, it stays in my rotation... but hidden under blazers.
