Okay, so I grabbed these dummy alarm lights hoping they'd add some extra 'don't mess with my car' vibes. Here's the real talk after using them for a while:
• The blue flashing is kinda convincing! It mimics those fancy Viper alarms enough to make sketchy people think twice. Though I wish it blinked faster – feels a bit too chill for a real alarm system.
• Solar charging is LEGIT. Left one baking on my dashboard for a year (RIP its twin that vanished into my car’s abyss) and it still blinks like day one. Black plastic surviving desert-level car heat? Impressive.
• Sticky adhesive = trash. Mine yeeted itself off the windshield after two days. Ended up using 3M Velcro strips instead – way better for adjusting/recharging.
• Thief deterrent rating: B-. Pros might laugh, but it probably scares off opportunistic amateurs (especially paired with my old-school steering wheel club).
Verdict? For the price, they’re fun little psychological warfare tools. Just don’t expect Fort Knox-level security.
