Let’s talk about the SystemBuild Evolution Kendall cabinet. At first glance, it’s a sleek, white storage solution that promises to organize your home. But does it deliver? Here’s my take after putting it through its paces.
The Good: Assembly was surprisingly straightforward. The instructions rely heavily on pictures, which I appreciated—no need to decipher lengthy manuals. All parts and hardware were present (though some reviewers weren’t as lucky), and the cabinet feels sturdier than expected for particleboard. The full-extension drawer slides are a nice touch, making it easy to access items at the back.
The Not-So-Good: The top drawer was a headache. Like others, mine was misaligned—cocked to one side and rocking on a flat surface. I had to drill additional pilot holes to adjust the rails, which helped but didn’t fully fix the issue. Also, the back panel is flimsy cardboard (why?!), so I’ll likely reinforce it with plywood later.
Real-World Use: I placed it in my laundry room for detergent and cleaning supplies. It blends well with other furniture, and the adjustable feet kept it level on my slightly uneven floor. But be warned: drawers require a firm push/pull due to misaligned slides—annoying for daily use.
Verdict: It’s budget-friendly and functional if you’re willing to tweak it. Perfect for low-traffic areas but don’t expect IKEA-level precision.
