Okay, so I’ve been using these PEEPAI photochromic glasses for about two weeks now, and here’s the tea.
First off, the frames? Super lightweight and stylish. I got compliments the first day I wore them to work. The metal frame feels sturdy but doesn’t weigh down on my nose or ears—major win for all-day wear.
The photochromic feature is cool but kinda slow? Like, it takes a solid minute to adjust from indoor clear to outdoor tinted. Not ideal if you’re stepping in and out of buildings frequently. Also, they don’t darken in cars (window UV protection, I guess?), so keep your regular sunglasses handy for drives.
Now, the blue light blocking—YES. My eyes feel noticeably less strained after marathon Zoom meetings. The slight amber tint takes getting used to (RIP color accuracy), but my late-night scrolling sessions don’t leave me with that gritty-eye feeling anymore.
BIG CAVEAT: If you have a larger head, these might pinch. My partner tried them and noped out after 10 minutes. Also, one lens had a weird smudge right out of the box (wiped off easily though).
Final verdict? Solid for screen time, decent as casual sunglasses, but don’t expect instant transitions or driving-ready darkness. Worth it for the price if you’re a desk jockey like me!
