After testing the Firstnum C600C WiFi router on multiple trips, I can confidently say it's a game-changer for staying connected on the go. The setup was surprisingly simple – just pop in a SIM card (I used my AT&T one), and boom, instant WiFi hotspot. No complicated configurations needed.
What really impressed me was its performance during my RV trip through rural areas. While my phone struggled with signal, this little router maintained a decent connection, allowing me to stream movies at night. The dual-band feature means less interference when multiple devices are connected – I regularly had my laptop, tablet, and two phones running simultaneously without noticeable lag.
The compact design with foldable antennas makes it perfect for travel. I've used it in my truck, at remote work sites, and even set it up temporarily in a vacation rental with terrible WiFi. The battery life lasts through most workdays (about 4-5 hours), and being able to plug it into a car charger or wall outlet gives me flexibility.
One thing to note: make sure your SIM card plan supports hotspotting before buying. I learned this the hard way when my first attempt with a restricted plan failed. But once I got the right SIM card activated, it worked like a charm.
While the non-removable antennas can make storage slightly tricky in tight spaces, the overall convenience outweighs this minor drawback. For digital nomads, road trippers, or anyone needing reliable mobile internet, this router delivers where others fall short.
