Okay, so my picky 9-year-old basically lives in these UA Brawler pants now. The brushed interior feels like wearing a cloud (his words, not mine!) and the tapered fit actually makes him look put-together instead of slouchy.
Major win: The drawcord waistband! My string bean kid (all legs, no waist) can finally wear pants that don't sag. We've gone through 3 size-ups over two years - they hold up shockingly well to soccer practice and tree climbing.
Pro tip: These run long in the leg (hallelujah!) but check the size chart carefully. Saw one review where someone accidentally bought youth XL thinking it was adult sizing. Oops!
Only complaint? We need more colors! Currently rotating between black and navy like some tiny athleisure uniform. Under Armour, please take notes - how about burgundy or olive next season?
