Let me start by saying this pillow has been both a blessing and a slight curse during my pregnancy. The U-shape truly wraps around your body like a comforting hug, providing much-needed support for my aching back and growing belly. I especially love how it cradles my hips - no more waking up with that sharp pelvic pain!
The cooling cover is... interesting. On one hand, it does feel refreshing when I first lay down (especially during those hormonal night sweats). But after a few hours? Let's just say I've woken up feeling like I'm in a sauna more times than I'd like to admit. Michigan winters clearly weren't enough to combat this pillow's heat retention.
What surprised me most was how versatile it is beyond sleep. I've used it as a backrest while working from home, propped it under my legs during Netflix binges, and even folded it into weird shapes for nursing support postpartum. That said, my husband absolutely hates how much real estate it takes up in our queen bed - we're basically reenacting that J.Lo movie 'Enough' every night.
A word of warning about the fabric: after months of use, the cover started pilling terribly and developed some questionable odors despite regular washing. And don't get me started on what it did to my hair! As a cosmetologist, I was horrified to see the damage to my lashes and split ends from the friction.
Would I buy it again? Probably - but only because nothing else gave me this level of full-body support at such an affordable price point. Just wish they made a version with better temperature regulation and silkier fabric options.
