First off, the ARRE sensor is TINY – like a fancy square cookie. Setup was stupid easy with Apple Home (just scanned the code and boom, connected). The temp readings? Spot-on compared to my old-school thermometer. Humidity tracking in my plant room has been clutch for automating my humidifier.
BUT here’s the weirdness: the air pressure data is whack. My weather app says 29.9 inHg, this thing insists it’s 21.2 – like we’re living on different planets? Also, the magnet stand might as well be decorative; sneeze near it and it falls over.
Thread connectivity has been solid for me (unlike some reviewers), but battery life’s sus – died in 2 months despite claiming a year. Swapped in an Energizer and now it’s fine... but why should I need to?
Silver lining: ARRE actually reached out to fix the pressure sensor firmware! That’s rare these days. If they nail that update, this could be a killer little device for smart home nerds who don’t need perfection.
