Let me start by saying this jacket is a total game-changer for parents! I bought the teal one for my 5-year-old daughter, and we've been putting it through its paces for months now.

The lightweight design is what first caught my attention. It's surprisingly warm for how thin it is - perfect for those 40-60°F days when you need just enough warmth without bulk. My daughter calls it her 'cloud jacket' because of how light it feels.

I was skeptical about the water resistance, but it's held up well in light rain. Though full disclosure - like one reviewer mentioned, it's not miracle-worker waterproof if your kid decides to belly-flop into puddles (why do they always do this?!).

The fit is generous - we sized up to a Medium (my daughter is 45lbs) and she'll easily get two seasons out of it. The length is fantastic, covering her bum which is rare in kids' jackets. The hidden interior pocket has become her 'treasure pocket' for rocks and acorns.

A few things to note: The zipper can be finicky sometimes (a common complaint), but we've found that going slow prevents most issues. Also, while the hood is great, it doesn't have any adjustability.
