Okay, so I just finished this intro to Additive Manufacturing (AM) and wow, it was FREE! Shoutout to OU for making knowledge accessible. The book paired with their course is a golden combo for newbies like me.
What really clicked for me was how it breaks down the difference between rapid prototyping and actual AM. Like, I kinda thought they were the same thing? Nope. The book explains it in a way that even my grandma would get it (if she cared about 3D printing lol).
The applications section blew my mind - from medical stuff to car parts, AM is everywhere! Though I wish there were more pictures of cool printed objects to keep things spicy.
For a free resource? 10/10 would recommend to anyone curious about 3D printing. Now excuse me while I go convince my boss we need a printer in the office...
