I've been using the Thacher's Nook Aviator Sunglasses for a few weeks now, and I have to say, they've exceeded my expectations for the price. The classic aviator design is timeless, and the mirrored lenses give them a cool, reflective look without compromising visibility.
One thing that really surprised me is how durable they are. I'm not exactly gentle with my sunglasses—I've accidentally sat on them, tossed them in my bag, and even buried them under a pile of stuff in my car. Despite all that, they haven't warped or deformed at all. The lightweight metal frame feels sturdy enough to handle everyday abuse.
The UV400 protection is a nice bonus, especially for the price. I’ve worn them on sunny hikes and drives, and they do a great job blocking glare without straining my eyes. They’re also unisex, so they look good whether you’re a guy or girl.
That said, they do feel a bit cheap when you hold them—the metal isn’t premium, and the arms can feel flimsy if you bend them too much. But for the price? They’re a solid pair of shades if you need something reliable without breaking the bank.
