Okay, so I finally got my hands on this Eric Carle touch-and-feel book for my niece, and oh my gosh - it's even cuter than I expected!
The textures are SO fun - fuzzy ducklings, crinkly leaves, and this one page with a silky smooth butterfly that my niece won't stop petting. She's 8 months old and completely obsessed.
What I love most is how sturdy it is. Like, we've had some serious drool sessions and page yanking (baby strength is no joke), but the book's holding up perfectly. The colors are just as vibrant as all Eric Carle books - that signature painted tissue paper look.
Only tiny complaint? The flaps could be a bit thicker. My niece got a little too excited with one page and nearly tore a flap off (oops). But honestly, for how much she loves it, that's a small price to pay.
Perfect baby shower gift alert! It's sweet without being overly sentimental, educational without being boring, and most importantly - keeps tiny hands busy during diaper changes. Total win!
