I recently got my hands on the SummitLink custom body for my Rustler 2WD, and it’s been a game-changer. The first thing that caught my eye was the vibrant paint job—no boring factory colors here! It came pre-painted with decals, so I didn’t have to waste time on DIY designs.
Durability? Surprisingly solid. I’ve taken it on some rough jumps (even with oversized MT tires), and while there’s been wheel contact, the shell barely shows wear. My last factory shell cracked easily, but this one flexes just enough to absorb hits without shattering. Bonus: the white interior makes it easy to spot tire rub marks.
Installation was mostly plug-and-play—holes were pre-drilled, though the rear mount needed slight reaming. It fits my Rustler like a glove, and the extra stickers let me personalize it further. One quirk: after heavy bashing (or, uh, dog attacks), the pin holes started fraying slightly, but nothing a little reinforcement can’t fix.
For the price? Absolute steal. It looks aggressive on the track, handles abuse better than stock, and turns heads. If you bash hard but want style, this body’s worth every penny.
