Okay, so I finally caved and bought the SHAPSHE waist trainer after seeing all the hype. Here's my honest take after wearing it for a few weeks!
Fit & Sizing: I'm 5'4", 150lbs with wide hips and went with a Medium based on reviews. It's TIGHT but not unbearable - definitely gives that "snatched" look. If you're between sizes, size up if you want comfort, down if you want maximum compression.
Quality: The fabric feels surprisingly nice! The mesh outer layer is breathable, and the steel bones give serious support without feeling like a medieval torture device. Zipper was stiff at first but loosened up after a few wears.
The Good: My posture has improved dramatically (no more slouching!), and it actually helps with my lower back pain during workouts. The adjustable shoulder straps are a game-changer - no digging or slipping.
The Not-So-Good: Chest area is... weird. Gives me awkward side boob if I wear it under tight clothes. Also had to do the "lay on bed" maneuver to zip it up the first few times (very sexy).
Verdict: For the price? Absolutely worth it. Not perfect, but one of the better waist trainers I've tried. Just don't expect miracles - you still gotta put in the work!
