Let me start by saying this TV shocked me. I was skeptical about getting a 'budget' QLED, but the Omni Series delivers way beyond its price tag. The 4K Quantum Dot display makes colors pop in a way that feels almost luxurious – my Netflix binge sessions have never looked this good.
The Dolby Vision IQ is the real MVP here. Watching The Mandalorian, I could actually see details in dark scenes that used to just look like black blobs on my old TV. And that adaptive brightness? Genius. No more blinding myself when I turn on the TV at 3AM for a snack run.
As an Alexa user, the hands-free control is life-changing. 'Alexa, play Stranger Things' while my hands are full of laundry? Yes please. Though fair warning – the Fire TV interface takes some getting used to if you're coming from Roku.
Gaming on PS5 looks fantastic, though hardcore gamers might notice it's not quite as smooth as premium TVs. But for casual gaming? More than enough. Pro tip: pair it with a soundbar – the built-in speakers are decent but don't do justice to those beautiful visuals.
The Ambient Experience feature turned out to be my unexpected favorite. Waking up to beautiful artwork instead of a black screen makes my living room feel like an art gallery (a very lazy person's art gallery).
Is it perfect? No. The menu can lag occasionally, and OLED purists will find things to nitpick. But for the price? This TV punches way above its weight class. If you want premium features without the premium price tag, this might be your best bet.
