Okay so I just finished this MAX Out fitness book and gotta say - it's legit helpful even if you're not military! As a marathon runner who sucks at sprints, the running tips alone were worth it.
The author breaks down each branch's PT test (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force) with specific training plans. My 1.5 mile time dropped like crazy in just weeks using his interval method. Who knew I'd actually enjoy short runs?
It's not magic - just solid science-backed advice presented clearly. The gear recommendations section is surprisingly useful too (that rucksack tip saved my back!).
If you're already super fit, might be basic for you. But for us normal humans trying to max our PT scores? Game changer. Just wish I found it before my last evaluation!
