Okay, so I grabbed this yellow beast hoping it’d scare off thieves and maybe add some peace of mind. Here’s the real talk:
The Good: It’s *bright yellow*—like, ‘can’t miss it even at midnight’ bright. Thieves will spot it instantly, which is kinda the point. The U-lock part has rubber coating, so no scratches on my steering wheel (bonus!). And hey, you *need* the key to adjust or remove it—no accidental self-lockouts here.
The Meh: It works… mostly. My buddy’s Ram 2500? Fits (barely). My Jeep Wrangler? Nope. The lock’s too short to stretch from pedal to wheel, and the hook barely grips thicker parts of the steering wheel. Feels like it was designed for ‘average’ cars that don’t exist.
The Verdict: Three stars. Great idea, but execution needs work—longer adjustable length and a wider hook would make it a winner. For now? It’s a visual deterrent that *might* fit your ride.
