As someone who's tried numerous vegan meal replacement shakes, I was excited to test out the Form Peakblend Chocolate Peanut flavor. The promise of high protein, fiber, and 26 vitamins & minerals sounded like a dream for my busy lifestyle.
The nutritional profile is indeed impressive - 354 calories per serving with organic pea protein and superfoods like flaxseed. I appreciated that it's sweetened with stevia instead of artificial sweeteners. When mixed with almond milk, the texture was smooth without any gritty aftertaste that some protein powders have.
However, I have to agree with some other reviewers about the taste. Despite being a chocolate peanut flavor enthusiast, this shake had an oddly bitter aftertaste that made it hard to finish. I experimented with different liquids (water vs plant milk) and added bananas or peanut butter to mask the flavor, but it remained challenging to drink.
On the positive side, it kept me full for hours - likely thanks to the MCTs from coconut oil. The energy boost was noticeable without any crash, making it decent for post-workout recovery. The eco-friendly packaging is also a big plus in my book.
Would I repurchase? Probably not this flavor. While nutritionally complete, the taste is just too off-putting for regular use. If you're extremely health-focused and don't mind sacrificing taste, it might work for you. But if you're sensitive to flavors like me, you might want to sample before committing.
