Just installed this bad boy in my garage and wow, it’s like having a tiny security guard for invisible dangers. Plug-and-play setup? Check. Loud alarm that could wake the dead? Double check.

The digital display is clutch—shows CO levels before they hit danger zone, which is way better than those basic ‘chirp-only’ detectors. Tested it (safely!) with my lawn mower running in the garage, and yep, watched the numbers climb until the alarm screamed at 100ppm. Science!

Only gripe? The 9V battery backup feels a bit last-century. At this price, I’d expect a lithium battery that lasts a decade. Also wish it had WiFi alerts for when I’m not home—future upgrade maybe?

Bottom line: After my old detector retired (with dramatic nonstop beeping), this Kidde unit earned its spot. Five stars because ‘not dying from gas leaks’ is kinda important to me.
