I recently got the Tiiyee Door Handle Alarm, and it’s been a game-changer for my home security. The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to set up—just pop in the batteries, hang it on the door handle, and you’re good to go. No wires, no fuss.
The alarm is LOUD. At 120dB, it’s impossible to ignore. I tested it on my bedroom door, and let’s just say my neighbors probably heard it too. It works exactly as advertised: if someone touches or turns the handle, it blares instantly. Perfect for keeping tabs on kids or elderly family members who might wander at night.
I love the two modes—alarm and chime. The chime is great for daytime use when I want a gentler alert (like when my toddler tries to sneak into the pantry). The alarm mode? That’s for serious business. It’s saved me a few times when my cat decided to stage a midnight escape by pawing at the door.
The sensitivity settings are handy but quirky. On 'Low,' it went off just from me hovering near the handle. 'High' acted the same way, while 'Off' (or what I assume is 'O') only triggered when the handle was turned. Took some trial and error to find the right setting.
One gripe: there’s no silent way to disarm it. If you need to turn it off, brace yourself for an ear-piercing beep. Also, be mindful of battery quality—weak batteries make it emit a weird muffled sound instead of its usual shriek.
Despite these quirks, I’m thrilled with this little device. It’s affordable, portable (I take it on trips for hotel doors), and does its job brilliantly. Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, or just want extra security, this alarm delivers peace of mind in a compact package.
