Okay, so I grabbed this SummitLink custom body for my Rustler 2WD, and here’s the tea: it’s a mixed bag.
First off, the fit is *chef’s kiss* if you have the exact model (2WD Rustler). But if you’re trying to MacGyver it onto something else—good luck. One reviewer heated and bent it for a Nitro Rustler, but that sounds like a DIY nightmare.
The paint job is solid right out of the box, and the decals are fun (though some folks got random pig stickers instead of Traxxas logos? Weird.). The body itself feels sturdy—not that flimsy crap that cracks on the first jump.
But here’s the catch: quality control seems shaky. Some buyers got bodies with mystery holes or wrong lengths, while others (like me) scored a perfect match. It’s like playing RC roulette.
Verdict? Great for plug-and-play if you win the QC lottery. Just double-check your model before hitting ‘buy.’
