So I recently picked up this 70mm copper lock cylinder for my wooden door, and here's the real deal about it.
First off, the build quality is decent. It's made of copper, which feels sturdy and should resist rust over time. The silver finish looks clean and matches my door hardware nicely.
Installation was pretty straightforward - came with all necessary parts (1 cylinder, 1 screw, and 3 keys). Took me about 10 minutes to swap out my old lock.
Now for the not-so-great part: the key operation isn't as smooth as I'd like. Sometimes it takes a bit of jiggling or extra force to get the key to turn properly. Not a dealbreaker for me since it's just for my backyard shed, but I wouldn't use this for high-security areas.
For the price point, it's an okay option if you need a basic lock replacement. Just don't expect premium smoothness in operation. Might be good for practice locksport too!
