Okay, so I was SUPER excited about this Leviton whole home energy monitor. The idea of tracking my energy usage like a tech wizard? Sign me up! But man... the reality hit hard.
The good stuff first: The hardware itself is actually pretty cool. It gives you real-time data (when it works) and the app looks sleek. I love being able to see which circuits are sucking up power and remotely control my breakers from bed. That part feels futuristic!
BUT here's where it falls apart: The software is like that one friend who's always late and forgets half the stuff they promised. Daily reports? Often wrong. Month-to-month comparisons? Forget about it. And why can't I just see my whole panel's usage at once anymore? Now I have to manually add up each breaker - not what I paid $2000 for!
The worst part? No Home Assistant integration! Like come on Leviton, it's 2023! Even after months of back-and-forth with support, they couldn't fix my data issues.
Honestly? This feels like beta software wrapped in premium hardware. If you want something that actually works reliably for serious energy monitoring, maybe wait for version 3 (if they ever fix this mess). Right now it's more frustrating than useful.
