I was super excited to try these thermochromic pigments for my resin jewelry projects. The idea of color-changing pieces sounded like magic! The set comes with 5 vibrant colors, and I was particularly drawn to the Purple-to-Blue and Magenta-to-Pink options.
Mixing them into clear epoxy resin was easy—just a small amount gave a nice tint. However, I quickly learned the color change isn't as dramatic as I expected. The pigments only shifted when exposed to significant heat (like holding them tightly in my palm for a while), not from casual touch or room temperature changes.
The packaging is cute but fragile—one of my containers arrived with hairline cracks in the lid. While they haven't worsened, I'm extra careful when opening them now.
Where these really shined was in nail art! Mixed into clear polish, they created a subtle but cool effect when I washed my hands in warm water. Not mind-blowing, but enough to get compliments.
Bottom line: These are fun for experimental crafts where you can apply direct heat, but don't expect instant or dramatic color shifts from normal use. The pigments themselves are high quality and vibrant—just temper your expectations about the thermochromic aspect.
