Let me start by saying this heater is a game-changer for my 4x4 tent. The PTC plate technology delivers gentle, consistent warmth without that 'blast furnace' effect cheaper heaters give. My plants stopped doing their nightly shiver routine since I installed this.
The included hose is genius—I routed it through a vent port so the unit lives outside the tent. No more tripping over equipment or worrying about moisture damage. Though fair warning: that hose smells like a rubber factory explosion for the first 48 hours. I ran mine in the garage before installation.
Integration with my Controller 69 Pro is where this shines. Watching the heater auto-adjust to maintain 75°F while my exhaust fan modulates is borderline hypnotic. That said, the manual might as well be hieroglyphics—I learned more from button-mashing than reading.
Now the gripes: At 61°F ambient, this struggles to hit 70°F in my tent unless running constantly. And twice now, the auto mode has ghosted me mid-grow cycle, leaving the heater stuck on full blast. AC Infinity replaced one unit no questions asked, but reliability concerns linger.
For smaller tents or supplemental heat? Absolutely recommend. For primary heating in cold spaces? Bring backup. When it works, it's magical—when it glitches, you'll contemplate throwing it out the window.
