Just got my hands on this Loeb Classical Library edition and wow, what a gem for us rural folks!

The way Columella writes about farming techniques from ancient times is shockingly relevant today. His no-nonsense style makes even complex agricultural concepts digestible.

I particularly love how Volume II builds on the first book - it's like having a 2000-year-old farming mentor whispering wisdom over my shoulder while I tend to my crops.

The bilingual format is perfect when I want to show off my (very limited) Latin skills to visiting friends!
