I've been using the MECHEN H11 for about a month now, and it's become my go-to device for music, audiobooks, and even some light video streaming. The 5-inch IPS touchscreen is surprisingly crisp - watching 1080p videos feels like having a mini theater in my palm. What really surprised me was how well it handles Spotify; the interface is snappy with that 8-core processor.
The metal body gives it a premium feel that's held up well in my backpack. I particularly love using it during my commute - the Bluetooth 4.1 connects instantly to my wireless earbuds, and the 27-hour battery life means I never worry about charging mid-day. The parental controls came in handy when I lent it to my niece too.
That said, I did notice it gets warm during long video sessions or heavy downloads. While the speaker quality is decent for casual listening, audiophiles will want to pair it with good headphones (the included wired ones are just okay). The inability to download Disney+ was disappointing but not a dealbreaker for me.
For $80, this punches above its weight class. It's essentially transformed how I consume media - no more draining my phone battery just to listen to podcasts at work. The expandable storage (I added a 512GB card) means I'll never run out of space for my music library either.
